Kirsten Caroline Dunst was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. She is of Swedish and German heritage and has a younger brother named Christian. Her parents, now divorced, are Klaus and Inez Dunst. Kirsten went to the Ranney School in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, until she moved to Southern California. Kirsten Dunst was working as a fashion model when she was all of three years old. Her first film appearance was a small role in Woody Allen's 1989 New York Stories.
