Kirsten DunstBirth Details: In true Taurean fashion -- using devotion, attentiveness, stamina and persistence -- Kirsten Dunst becomes adept at whatever she puts her mind and hand to, inevitably succeeding. This beautiful A-lister is a star on the rise. 'On every film I do, whenever there are other girls my age, I think it's definitely up to me to set the pace. That's because I've had a lot of experience and I think there's always a certain amount of professionalism that should be maintained.' Sun in Taurus: Kirsten Caroline Dunst was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. She is of Swedish and German heritage and has a younger brother named Christian. Her parents, now divorced, are Klaus and Inez Dunst. Kirsten went to the Ranney School in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, until she moved to Southern California. Kirsten Dunst was working as a fashion model when she was all of three years old. Her first film appearance was a small role in Woody Allen's 1989 New York Stories. She earned her Hollywood creds in 1994 with her portrayal of Claudia in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles featuring Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. This role brought her a Golden Globe nomination, an MTV Award for Best Breakthrough Performance and a Saturn award for Best Young Actress. While filming Vampire, Kirsten had to wear a lot of makeup so her mom would treat her to facials at an exclusive day spa in Los Angeles. Since that time Inez has joined Belle Visage as co-owner and public relations director. Kirsten played Lux Lisbon in Sofia Coppola's 1999 indie feature, The Virgin Suicides, impressing critics and fans alike with her stellar performance. She did it again in 2000 as Torrance Shipman in Bring It On. Says Dunst, 'The Virgin Suicides showed I could nail a very difficult character, while Bring It On brought a great deal of joy to young girls. These are the beautiful rewards of being an actress.' About Bring It On, Kirsten, who was a high school cheerleader herself, went on to say, 'We're breaking boundaries. And we're not doing the same old cliche of cheerleaders are dumb, so let's make fun of them'. Proving her point, she graduated from Notre Dame, a Catholic High School in Los Angeles, in June of that same year. In 2002, Kirsten played the part of Peter Parker's girlfriend in Spider-Man. 'I really wanted the role because I knew it would give my career a boost, especially in foreign markets where I don't feel I'm that well known,' she said. Of course, her strategy worked and she repeated the role of Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man 2 and 3. A classic Taurus, Kirsten wants to see concrete, tangible results for her efforts. One of her greatest assets is her ability to follow through. She is not one for spinning wild dreams that are unlikely to come to fruition. Most of her wild dreams have to do with material achievement and wellbeing. She has a great love of the physical world and wants to experience it in full. She is willing to work long and hard to achieve her goals and then her sensuous, comfort-loving side wants to enjoy what she has worked for. She has a tendency to overindulge in good food and other earthly pleasures and probably prefers a serene country setting to an urban lifestyle. Regarding the possibility of making another action adventure she says, 'In the next film they've got to bring in another female character. Just give me the acting; she can do all the falling and fighting.' At heart her needs are simple. Kirsten has a strong desire for security, stability and peace. She craves physical closeness and affection. Her faults include bullheaded obstinacy, an unwillingness to deviate from a comfortable routine and a tendency to insist upon realism without placing any value on the fanciful. With her Mercury in Taurus, Kirsten's mind operates in a very deliberate and methodical manner. She dislikes being forced to give an opinion before she has thoroughly digested an idea and she can be difficult to influence once her mind is made up. In 1999 she declined the role of Angela in American Beauty, saying, 'When I read it, I was 15 and I don't think I was mature enough to understand the script's material. I didn't want to be kissing Kevin Spacey. Come on! Lying there naked with rose petals?' Venus in Pisces means that Kirsten is tender and sympathetic in love. She gives selflessly and devotedly. She needs someone with whom she can have a deep spiritual connection and may be prone to get involved in highly intense relationships. Her urge for intensity in the personal arena may compel her to choose partners who could be dangerous or manipulative. She once said, 'Boys frustrate me. I hate all their indirect messages, I hate game playing. Do you like me or don't you? Just tell me so I can get over you.' With Mars in Libra Kirsten vacillates between being too confrontational and too eager to please. She will need to find balance between those opposing forces because she achieves her goals by collaborating with others. Her more recent collaborations include playing Marie Antoinette in Sophia Coppola's film of the same name; Spider-Man 3 has wrapped, and next year she is slated to play the part of Marla Ruzickza, a human rights activist who died in Iraq when a car bomb exploded. Jupiter in Scorpio indicates that Kirsten's strength lies in her unwillingness to settle for superficiality in any area. She will go to extremes to experience the heights and depths. In January of 2006, she was quoted in Womans' World: 'You know that feeling when you wake up in the morning and you're excited for the day? That's one of my main goals in life.'
