This double Aries has grown from Number 41 on VH1's list of the Top 100 Greatest Teen Stars to accomplished actress, producer, director, wife, mother, farmer and animal rights activist.

'I've always been very bonded to animals -- more so than most people. I don't think that they can defend themselves, so we have to help them.'

Jennie Garth's Tarot Reading

Jennifer Eve Garth grew up in a blended family on a 25 acre horse ranch in the Midwest. Her parents, John and Carolyn Garth each had 3 children from previous marriages, giving Jennie six older siblings: Johnny, Chuck, Lisa, Cammie, Wendy and Lynn. When she was 13 the family moved to Phoenix, Arizona. When she was 15 she was spotted by a talent scout who talked her into going after an acting career. Jennie dropped out of school and she and her mom relocated to Los Angeles to chase the dream. (She earned her diploma later.) After a few months of acting lessons and constant auditions she got the part of Erica McCray on the NBC TV series 'A Brand New Life' (1989). The following year she took on the role of Kelly Taylor on FOX TV hit series 'Beverly Hills 90210' (1990), a part she played for ten years. In 1991 she was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress Co-starring in a Television Series for her role. In 1992 she won it. Jennie also managed to step into the role of director for two episodes of the series.

'Beverly Hills 90210 was a great ride and the time of my life. I grew up on that show. I grew up with those people,' she recalled in a September 2000 interview in monthly magazine Beverly Hills (213). She met her husband, actor Peter Facinelli on the set of TV movie An Unfinished Affair (1996). Besides playing 'a knife-wielding seductress who is out for revenge on her married lover,' Jennie is credited as producer and executive producer on this film. 'I really learned a lot from producing,' she stated. 'I learned it's a lot more fun at that level, having control over casting and locations. It gave me the opportunity to explore the business side of the industry.' Previously she had produced ABC TV movie Without Consent (1994), which exposes the abuses and lack of regulation in the private psychiatric hospital industry. 'Without Consent was based on a newspaper story my manager read. We investigated and researched the story, had the script written, and took it to the studio.' It was one of ABC's highest rated films of the season, according to jenniegarth.com. 'Without Consent explored a growing problem in the mental health care system, and endeavored to bring about change by raising public awareness of this important issue.' She played Valerie Tyler on the WB's 'What I Like About You' from 2002 until 2006 when the show ended its run. A confirmed vegetarian, Jennie is also a political activist. 'I'm active in several animal rights groups,' she says, 'and I donate time to the AIDS project. I just got involved with World Vision, which helps underprivileged children around the world.'

Sun in Aries tells us Jennie craves the freedom to do things her own way. She works very well independently. Carrying out another's will is not her style. She likes to be the chief. She is impulsive, unswerving, passionate and assertive. She believes in the power of positive action and thinks of herself as strong. Accepting her own limitations can be a challenge for her.

Mercury in Aries guarantees she is outspoken, direct and always eager to express her opinions. She doesn't mind running contrary to popular belief or stirring up a little controversy. She has fresh ideas and much enthusiasm for anything new and untried. Once the novelty has worn off, however, she is on to the next thing. She never seems to have enough time to do all she wants to. She is very honest and speaks decisively and convincingly about things she believes in. With Mercury opposition Uranus/Pluto she has a restless mind and is constantly diverting herself with new ideas and plans. Creative and resourceful, she is a tireless mental worker. She has the need to pass her knowledge on to others, which she does with enthusiasm.

Venus in Taurus promises that in love, she is steadfast and loyal, especially if she has a warm, demonstrative partner. She is very sensual and needs lots of physical affection. She enjoys being pampered with a good meal, loving massage and other sensual pleasures. She is a wonderful lover who is very attentive to the enjoyment of the one she loves. She is tremendously responsive to beauty; her partner's physical appearance is important to her. On January 20, 2001 Jennie married actor Peter Facinelli. They have three daughters, Luca Bella, Lola Ray and Fiona Eve. 'We have horses, dogs, goats, rabbits, all the basic farm animals at this point,' she told Beverly Hills (213), 'and I'm looking for a cat for my daughter. I do love being in the Santa Ynez Valley. I love Los Angeles. But I really love being on a farm.'

Mars in Gemini indicates a sharp and eager mind. She enjoys games with a mental component and likes to match wits with others. She often achieves her desires by using her ability to speak clearly, vigorously and convincingly for what she wants. Her drive and energy are more mental than physical. She uses wit, intelligence, social sophistication and awareness to achieve her goals. However, she sometimes scatters her energies into so many activities at once that she cannot follow through on all of them.

Jupiter in Capricorn shows she has an innate shrewdness and the ability to develop a clear strategy and follow it carefully in order to reach her goals. She has a natural sense of order, structure and self-discipline. She is likely to excel, both because she is ambitious and because it is very important to her to do a professional job, no matter what field she is in or how humble the task.

Saturn in Gemini means she has a strong desire to break records and set an example for others through her own achievements. She tends to spur others on to improve results and her associations are often for the purpose of bettering conditions.

'I know I have the ability to do so much more than just stand in front of the camera the rest of my life.'
