Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton
October 26, 1947
Chicago, Illinois

Sun: Scorpio
Moon: Pisces
Rising: Gemini

This United States Senator may play her cards extremely close to the vest, but her passion is taking care of others.

'All of us have to recognize that we owe our children more than we have been giving them.'

Democrat Hillary Clinton is the first former First Lady to be elected to the U.S. Senate and the first female U.S. Senator from the state of New York. She was reelected in 2006 with 67 percent of the vote. A graduate of Wellesley College and Yale Law School, she has spent her career advocating for children, expanded health care, women's rights and human rights around the world. After September 11, 2001, she worked to reinforce homeland security and to build up our communications and intelligence operations. She has been a fierce advocate for proper equipment, health benefits and treatment for military families.

A Sun in Scorpio reveals that Hilary is quiet, deep, emotionally complex and intensely private. She is not a person who is easy to get to know and understand. She is extremely sensitive but disinclined to show it, allowing only a special few into her inner circle (known officially as 'Hillaryland'). Very instinctive and intuitive, she usually has a strong, gut reaction to people; her feelings and perceptions go much deeper than words.

She also has a powerful need for deep emotional involvement and forms very intense attachments. When she commits herself to someone or something, she is wholeheartedly devoted and expects complete loyalty in return. She merges with the person she loves at a profound level. Separations are extremely painful for her and can be stormy. When she has been wounded, she is not inclined to turn the other cheek. Obviously aware of this challenge, she once said, 'In the Bible it says they asked Jesus how many times you should forgive, and he said 70 times 7. Well, I want you all to know that I'm keeping a chart.'

Anything she does, she does with passion and fervor. She is also immensely strong-willed and her tenacity in pursuing her objectives often borders on being obsessive. Those who worry that a woman might not be tough enough for the presidency may find reassurance in her statement, 'Every nation has to either be with us, or against us. Those who harbor terrorists, or who finance them, are going to pay a price'. Fierce pride, courage and emotional strength are hers in abundance. She never takes things at face value and is always probing beneath the surface to discover what is really going on. She tends to be more of a skeptic than an idealist.

Her Moon in Pisces makes her tenderhearted and sympathetic to an unusual degree. She has an almost telepathic understanding of other people's feelings and needs. She is extremely compassionate and cannot bear to see any fellow creature -- be it human or animal -- suffer. Because of her kindness and nonjudgmental attitude, people in pain or confusion are drawn to her for help, which she readily gives. On October 11, 1975 she married Bill Clinton. They have one daughter, Chelsea, born on February 27, 1980. Moon in 10th house tells us she works well with the public and has an instinct for what the public wants and will respond to. Having a 'nest' is not especially important to her and she may invest more of her emotional energy into her career or public life than in her private life. Providing for and caring for others in a professional capacity are very likely.

She enjoys making others comfortable and happy and sometimes overdoes her generosity. With Moon square Uranus she craves excitement, change and innovation. She cannot tolerate a routine or lifestyle that offers little in the way of surprise or challenge. Spontaneous and enthusiastic about anything new, she may be perceived as being too impulsive, especially in personal relationships. Forming relationships with others is very important to her.

A Gemini rising ensures she is always questioning and learning. She seems young and alive no matter what her chronological age, for her mind is always alert, curious and open to new experiences. Articulate, clever, often funny and witty, she is always a refreshing and interesting conversationalist. She enjoys meeting and interacting with a variety of different people. She is friendly, flirtatious and charming in a light, playful way and no matter how badly she may be feeling, she never appears heavy or somber. She has a sense of humor and a sense of perspective that prevents her from taking herself or life too seriously. Her gifts are a quick mind, a flair for language, social sophistication and the ability to communicate, converse and build bridges between people and ideas.
