Fred Thompson joined the cast of TV series Law and Order in 2002 while still serving as U.S. Senator from Tennessee. He became a front-runner in the race for the Republican Presidential nomination without formally announcing his candidacy.

Ideally he needs a partner who is as strong-willed as himself, but who will not try to dominate or compete with him. His strengths are his creative power and his warm and generous heart. His primary fault is his tendency to be so concerned with his own creative self-expression that he may forget there is another, larger world that does not revolve around him.
