Fergie

Fergie
March 27, 1975
Hacienda Heights, California

This exciting and spontaneous Ram knows that achievement requires risk-taking, perseverance and courage -- and she has them all in double doses.

'I got experience at a very young age. I'm very lucky. You know, I started in show business at about seven years old. That's why I feel so appreciative of everything now because I've been working hard at this all my life.

Fergie's Tarot Reading

Stacy Ann Ferguson, of Irish and Scottish heritage, was born in Southern California. She began her career as a child actress, doing voiceovers for The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show. From 1984 through 1989 she was a regular on the TV show, Kids Incorporated, alongside actress Renee Sands. She and Renee went on to form the female group, Wild Orchid. Stefanie Ridel completed the trio and they put out two albums. In 2003 she got a chance to perform with the Black Eyed Peas on the song 'Hey Mama.' She recorded five songs with them, earning a permanent place in the band, as well as widespread recognition as 'Fergie.' Adding on to her enormous success as lead female singer with the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie launched a solo career in September of 2006 with the album, The Dutchess -- a play on words based on similarly-named Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York. 2006 was a big year for Fergie, as she took up acting again with a role in the film, Poseidon. In 2007, she is slated to perform in Quentin Tarantino's Grindhouse.

With her Sun in Aries, Fergie is a person who thrives on challenge and often feels that she must battle her way through life, depending upon no one and nothing but her own strength, intelligence and courage. She believes in being totally honest, true to herself and her own vision and convictions, even if it means standing alone. Integrity and authenticity are important to her, and she has no sympathy for weakness of character in others. Working very well independently, she craves the freedom to do things her own way. Carrying out another's will is not her style. She likes to be the chief -- or to go it alone.

She loves action and if others are settling down into a comfortable little rut, she is always ready to stir things up. Routine and monotony are like death to her. She is not afraid to try something that's never been done before, and even though she may be seen as foolish at times, she also invents and initiates things that others will later emulate. Taking risks and following her own star are the breath of life for Fergie.

She is impulsive, direct and assertive. She believes in the power of positive thinking and positive action and thinks of herself as strong -- even invincible. She hates being ill, or dependent in any way. Accepting her own human limitations and emotional needs is often difficult for her. In a September, 2006 Time Magazine interview, she discussed her addiction to and recovery from crystal methamphetamine. 'It was the hardest boyfriend I ever had to break up with. It's the drug that's addicting. But it's why you start doing it in the first place that's interesting. A lot of it was being a child actor; I learned to suppress feelings.'

She is basically aggressive in her attitudes and has less facility in the receptive arts of relating to others, picking up subtle messages and listening. Often she gets so fired up about her own projects that she inadvertently ignores other people's interests. She may also try to accomplish her ends by using anger or some version of a temper tantrum. Being receptive and appreciative of others' contributions would go a long way in improving her relationships. She would gain much by learning to slow down, relax and occasionally just let things be -- but her feisty, restless nature rarely allows her to do this.

Sun opposition Pluto means that she is infused with a sense of personal destiny and can be tremendously driven. Learning about power and how to use it for good is definitely part of her path. She confronts tyranny as well as abusive or domineering people who will teach her about power and eventually force her to claim her own. Sun opposition Moon/Pluto guarantees that her emotions are very intense and she is easily excited. Love is very important to her; she is constantly seeking emotional fulfillment, but will not waste time with casual relationships. In September of 2004, she met actor Josh Duhamel. By July of 2005, they were engaged.

Mercury in Pisces reveals that she is more of a poet than a rational scientist, for her mind does not function in a strictly logical, linear fashion. The language of music, art or poetry is natural to her, and she is able to think in highly abstract and symbolic terms. She is intuitive and able to sense others' thoughts and feelings even before they speak. She often forms an opinion about a person or situation without much factual information, and her impressions are usually correct. She can be somewhat absent-minded and so immersed in her own thoughts that she overlooks things in her immediate environment. Extremely open-minded, she believes that anything is possible. Intangible or spiritual forces seem just as real to her as anything in the concrete world.

Mercury trine Saturn indicates that she possesses excellent powers of concentration and enjoys studying or thinking in solitude. Perceptive and highly lucid, she gets right down to the bare bones in any discussion, and is quick to see the weakness in another's logic. She is well-suited to any work that requires organized thinking, precision and a methodical approach. She enjoys working on problems that others consider too tedious or technical. She tends to become a specialist in a given field of knowledge, and to become engrossed in all of its small details, sometimes without realizing that few people share her interest to the extent that she does. Mercury aspect Saturn and Neptune means that although her thinking is precise and logical, at times she can become entranced by mystical or abstract ideas.

With Mercury square Neptune, her mind is highly imaginative and creative and she possesses dramatic, artistic or musical abilities. As a child, she probably fantasized a great deal, living in her own little world. Communication with others is often difficult for her because she finds words frustrating and inadequate to express her experiences and perceptions. In addition, she may purposefully mystify or mislead others.

Uranus opposition Mars/Saturn shows that she has a great need for independence and will strive to break free from stifling situations. She tends to be somewhat irritable and easily angered when provoked. 'I went on the Internet today and some people were saying some more [stuff] about me,' she grouses. 'You know, like there's this one guy who's saying today, 'Why does Fergie have it so easy? How come she just joins the band just as it gets all successful? She hasn't worked for it.' And I'm thinking, 'What? You don't even know me!''

Venus in Taurus means that in love, she is steadfast and loyal, especially if she has a warm, demonstrative partner. She is very sensually oriented, needing lots of touching and physical affection. She enjoys being pampered with a good meal, loving massage or other sensual pleasures. She is a wonderful lover, very attentive to the comfort and enjoyment of the one she loves. She is tremendously responsive to beauty and physical appearances, and the physical attractiveness of her partner is very important to her.

Venus sextile Saturn dictates that in love, it's important for her to be able to deeply respect her partner. She looks beyond the superficial qualities to see their inner worth (or lack thereof), before she lets herself really fall for someone. In fact, too much glamour or flashiness is something of a turn-off to her. She is capable of a mature, lasting love relationship and seeks a mate who is deep, loyal and committed. She may be drawn to someone older than herself.

With Venus quincunx Neptune it is absolutely essential for her not to deceive herself when it comes to love, romance or the true nature of other people. She tends to be in love with love, and can be incredibly naive and easily seduced. Confusion, disappointments and regrettable mistakes in both emotional and financial matters may result. She will need to develop clarity, candor and realism regarding romantic love -- and people in general.

Venus quincunx Pluto indicates that she is prone to get involved in highly intense, even obsessive relationships. At its darkest, this urge for intensity in her personal life may compel her to choose friends or mates who can be dangerous or dishonorable characters with a penchant for manipulating and inflicting pain on their 'loved ones'. On the other hand, she may be tempted to use her own sexuality to play the same sort of game, to use love or friendship as a bargaining chip or to gain power over others. With Venus opposition Neptune/Pluto she is likely to have some very strange experiences in her love life, and she seems to be drawn to the unattainable. She is also strongly attracted to the spiritual dimensions of life and may pursue a study of mystical and occult subjects.

With Mars in Aquarius she is very socially oriented and works well in cooperation with others. When she decided to cut a solo record, fellow Black Eyed Peas band member, will.i.am, partnered up as producer. The album generated two hit singles, 'London Bridge' and 'Fergalicious' but will not affect the future of the Black Eyed Peas, as Fergie plans to stay with the band. She may be active in community affairs or unite with others to work toward a common goal. Progressive and democratic, she is not concerned with hoarding personal power or having authority over others. She is a team player. New, unconventional methods appeal to her, especially ideas that involve bringing people together or creating fairer working conditions. New technologies also interest her. Her energy level is high but somewhat erratic. She can be impatient, rebellious and inconstant in pursuing her aims.

Jupiter in Aries indicates that she believes strongly in the power of positivity and in each individual's ability to achieve anything they desire through their own initiative and effort. The more she relies on herself, the better she feels, and she finds it difficult to ask for or accept outside help. The joy of competing -- and especially winning -- runs deep in Fergie. Jupiter quincunx Uranus means there is an uneasy balance within her between personal independence and freedom of thought versus being part of a collective, sharing beliefs and goals with others. Even if popularity is important to her, she can't seem to help occasionally injecting a bit of controversy or rebelling against the well-established way of things. Group situations or efforts may interest her, and then feel uncomfortable once she gets involved.

Saturn in Cancer warns that she fears becoming emotionally dependent upon others, and may distance herself or deny her needs for closeness and intimacy so that she won't be vulnerable to rejection or abandonment. On the other hand, she may cling excessively or need constant reassurance from loved ones and family. Her parents, Terri Gore and Patrick Ferguson, were divorced when she was a teenager, which may contribute to this aspect of her personality. Developing a deep, inner sense of security, as well as the ability to give and receive nurturing are important tasks for her.
