Austin Peck's Tarot Reading

Jeffrey Austin Peck is a military brat, born in Hawaii. His father was an officer in the Navy and the family moved around quite a bit during his childhood. They moved to Los Angeles when he was nine and he naturally got into showiz. His first gig was a Pop Tarts commercial. He created a successful international career as a model, appearing in magazines like Esquire, GQ, Vogue Hommes and British Vogue but in 1995 he switched to acting. His first major role was 'boxer-turned-marketing executive' Austin Reed on NBC's 'Days of Our Lives.' Between 1996 and 2006 he appeared in 50 episodes of the daytime TV drama. In 1997, he and actress Christie Clark won the Soap Opera Digest Award for Hottest Romance, in an episode entitled 'Austin and Carrie.' In 2006, he played Daniel Gecko in an episode of 'CSI: NY' and also appeared in 'Charmed,' 'The District' and 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch' among other popular TV shows. His first film was Are You a Serial Killer (2002). In 2004 he appeared in independent feature Breaking Dawn as well as in Revenge. In 2005, he was in Mystery Woman: Sing Me a Murder (TV) and Aimee Price and in 2006 he starred in another indie, Dating Games People Play. Austin was enthusiastic about his experience with independent filmmaking, especially the grass roots promotion. 'I did two independent films that are going around to all these festivals. Both of them are going to be at the Lake Tahoe Film Festival.' In 2006 he left 'Days' and joined the cast of CBS's 'As the World Turns.' By April of 2007 he had played Brad Snyder in 22 episodes. Says Austin, 'Soap Actors are fun and interesting. They all have something special that you want to be around.'

However, he hasn't limited himself to TV and film. 'Ever since I got on 'Days' I've been doing theater,' he explains. 'I think any actor would agree that you can't replace theater. It's immediate. You have the energy of the crowd and every single night it's different.' When he lived in Beverly Hills he was an active member of Theater 40 and received great critical acclaim for his performance in Blue Silence. 'Then I did Japanese Death Poem,' he recalls. 'I played seven or eight different characters. It's the most challenging thing I've ever done on stage.' He received even more acclaim for this role. He and his family now live in Manhattan. He is an active Youth Ministries volunteer.

Sun in Aries tells us Austin loves action and if those around him happen to be settling into a comfortable groove, he is ready to stir things up. He is not afraid of trying something that's never been done before. Impulsive, enthusiastic and assertive, he is into taking risks and following his own star. He believes in the power of positive thinking and positive action and thinks of himself as strong. Accepting his own limitations and emotional needs is often difficult for him.

With Mercury in Taurus his mind operates in a very deliberate and methodical manner. He is patient and persevering and becomes adept at whatever he puts his mind to for he is willing to devote much time and attention to it. He succeeds because he has the ability to concentrate and follow a project through to its completion. The stars tell us he has an aptitude for singing or drawing and he proves them spot-on with his talent as a cartoonist and sketch artist.

Venus in Pisces makes him tremendously softhearted and sympathetic. He gives selflessly and devotedly to those he loves and often allows others to become overly dependent upon him. More compassionate than passionate, he is drawn to sensitive, imaginative, gentle souls -- poets, musicians, dreamers -- or to someone he feels he can have a deep spiritual connection with. He idealizes love and has a very romantic vision of what it can be. Venus sextile Mars reveals he has an excellent rapport with the opposite sex. Love, romance and passion are vital to his well-being; the physical component of a relationship is very important to him. On April 16, 2000 he married Tara Crespo. They have two sons, A.J. born on July 11, 2002 and Roman born February 15, 2005. Says Austin, 'The number one thing I've been doing is being daddy.'

Mars in Capricorn means he is disciplined and determined in pursuing his objectives. His drive and energy are directed toward practical material accomplishment. He strives to be in a position of authority and social influence and enjoys being in command. He is hard-working and capable of foregoing immediate comfort in order to achieve his long-range goals. He can easily become a workaholic. Realistic and pragmatic, he is an excellent strategist and has a natural instinct for organizational management.

Jupiter in Sagittarius suggests his strength lies in his ability to see the whole picture, rather than only the parts which compose it. He has a deep need to explore the world and to develop his own philosophy of life and sense of personal meaning.

'When you deal with comedy, you have got to be really honest because it's the honesty and the spontaneity that causes people to chuckle, that catches people. I think comedy is more my instinct and more what I'm geared towards.'
