Ashlee Nicolle Simpson was born in Dallas, Texas. Her parents are Joe and Tina Simpson and her big sister is Jessica Simpson. Ashlee was dancing by the time she was four years old. When she was eleven she was accepted into the School of American Ballet.

By the time she was fourteen she was touring and dancing onstage with her sister, Jessica. During those years -- 1999 to 2001 -- Ashlee attracted many fans of her own.
